3D Mic technology fully utilises the two inbuilt microphones to the best of their ability – an omnidirectional mic to capture 360 degrees of sound, and a unidirectional mic for best results in voice recording and speech recognition. This makes the voice recorder exceptional at recording the single voice, and so much more versatile and effective when using the recorder to record multiple voices, such as during meetings.

The built-in motion sensor is a creative and clever way to enhance the usefulness of the two different microphones for an incredibly user-friendly and efficient recording experience. When the device is placed on a desk or held in the hand it senses and selects the appropriate microphone for that recording situation. When the device is idle it automatically switches to standby mode, saving power. When the DPM is moved or picked up again, it’s ready to record in seconds.

For the author…

Philips SpeechLive gives the author full flexibility on how and where they want to dictate.

Users can open their browser and record directly into Philips SpeechLive using the SpeechLive Online Recorder.  Once you have dictated, no emailing is required because the dictation is already in the portal waiting for the typist.

Authors also have the freedom to dictate straight into their mobile phones using the Philips SpeechLive Dictation App. If you wish to separate your dictaphone from your phone, you can use the DPM8000 and upload directly to SpeechLive.

Irrespective of how you record, the dictated audio is quickly sent automatically to typists. Add notes, set instructions and add priority or even attach a document or image before clicking send.  You can clearly see the live transcription status of your dictation so that you know when it has been completed.

For the typist…

Philips SpeechLive makes in-house transcription convenient.

Typists can login from any computer to transcribe the audio directly from the browser. This allows for users to interchange very easily from working in the office and at home. Users can plug in their Philips  ACC2320 foot pedal to transcribe the audio. No software installation is required!
